Well Tory process is pretty decisive. And it looks like today's Badenoch may be the survivor of this one, so I was wrong about that one.

By the by I have a now deceased relative Walter Turnbull who achieved some eminence many, many decades back. He told me the history of the Turnbull name, a charming legend involving King Robert I recall.

A charming legend commemorated with an ugly statue in the corner of a car park in Hawick. And family motto "I saved the king". In fact the name refers to our (erstwhile) proficiency in stealing cattle. Turnbulls a small but effective reiving clan from Bedrule in the Scottish Borders.
